Black Sticks hockey participant Megan Hull is a finalist for sportsperson of the yr on the Tararua Sports activities Awards.
Athletes from swimming, rugby and hockey are among the many rivals vying for the title of sportsperson of the yr on the Tararua Sports activities Awards.
The finalists for the awards have been introduced forward of the occasion on the Dannevirke City Corridor on Friday.
A spread of codes have been recognised within the eight classes, together with a supreme award to be introduced on the evening.
The awards, organised by Sport Manawatū, rejoice the success of athletes, coaches, golf equipment, directors and officers from Tararua.

Finalists for sportsperson of the yr embrace Manawatū Cyclones rugby participant Sam Tipene, Black Sticks hockey participant Megan Hull, para swimmer Chris Arbuthnott and shearer David Buick.
Sport Manawatū chief govt Trevor Shailer stated: “There’s a real sense of delight and caring that the neighborhood reveals in sport right here within the Tararua and these awards are about acknowledging this sporting neighborhood and their respective successes.”
The visitor speaker is Kingi Kiriona (Ngāti Ruanui, Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Apa).
Kiriona is on the board of administrators for Māori Tv, in addition to a pacesetter of Māori language and cultural growth.
Wairarapa MP Kieran McAnulty is the MC.
The nomination interval for this yr’s awards spanned from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2020.
