Tokyo, April 2 (Jiji Press)–Former Japanese kickboxing star Tadashi Sawamura, who dominated the world of the martial artwork within the Nineteen Sixties and Nineteen Seventies below the nickname of “the Demon of Kickboxing,” died of sickness on March 26. He was 78.
Sawamura, whose actual title was Hideki Shiraha, was born in Manchuria, now a northeastern a part of China.
He practiced karate from his childhood and later began a profession in kickboxing.
In televised matches, Sawamura knocked out many opponents along with his signature leaping knee kick, gaining huge recognition.
Half of his life was featured in tv anime “the Demon of Kickboxing,” and the title of this system turned his nickname.
