The 28-year-old from Leeds made his BKB debut in 2018 and was topped British champion late final month following a brutal contest with the previously-unbeaten Nathan Leeson.
The five-round struggle went to a judges’ determination, with McHugh’s hand raised to substantiate his first title since turning into a bareknuckle fighter.
